What is a CSA and Why join one?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a program designed to connect local farms with the people who eat their food. By joining a CSA, you invest in a share of the farm’s harvest before the growing season begins, helping farmers get started in spring and grow better, more abundant crops.
In return, members receive fresh, seasonal produce throughout the season, picked at peak ripeness for maximum flavor and nutrition.
Supporting a CSA also means you’re buying local. The average food in the U.S. travels about 1,300 miles from farm to table. By eating locally grown food, your produce is fresher, naturally ripened, and packed with more nutrients than items shipped long distances.
What to Expect from Our CSA:
We carefully plan our crops each season to provide a variety of fresh, naturally grown produce for our members. Each share includes a rotating assortment of seasonal vegetables:
Spring: mostly leafy greens (lettuce, arugula, cabbage) and root crops (beets, radishes, turnips, carrots)
Summer: tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet corn, occasional root veggies, leafy greens, and other seasonal favorites
Share Sizes:
Individual Share – ideal for one person or anyone who wants a smaller weekly supply
Standard Share – feeds 2–3 people per week
Family Share – feeds 4–5 people per week
Pick-Up Details:
Pick up your share weekly on an arranged day at the farm
Each week, members receive a Google form to select preferences and pick a convenient time slot
Shares are picked up farmers market–style, where you choose your own vegetables and quantities based on your share size
Joining a CSA is a great way to eat locally grown, seasonal food while supporting your community farm. Become a member today! 🌱
